You’re invited to VMware's CyberRange Capture-the-Flag Event held on Friday, January 24th at our Reston, Virginia offices. This event is open to any and all IT professionals, developers, and infrastructure architect/engineer teams spanning the skills spectrum from novice to professional.
What is the Capture the Flag operation about? Glad you asked:
CODE NAME: vReaper - Come learn and test your cybersecurity skills with VMware, GRIMM, and Carbon Black.
SEEKING: IT professionals, developers, and hackers spanning the skills spectrum from novice to professional. Are you up for the challenge? Test your white-hat hacking skills with like-minded people. All skill levels welcome!
COMPETITION INFO: The competition will begin at 9:00 AM. Teams can be formed in any size, and the one with the most points at 3:00 PM will take home first prize! Participants must bring their own laptops.
This CTF is built around GRIMM’s Howdy Neighbor IoT hack-house CTF, featured as the core system for the DEFCON ‘Hack the Planet’ competition, awarding “Black Badges” for the last two years. Test your skills and HACK THE PLANET! Also featured: New challenges integrated with the CTF leveraging the new Cyber Range Solution from GRIMM, VMware, and Carbon Black. This solution builds upon their Digital Learning Platform and delivers a baseline deployment of technologies to fulfill the hands-on training mission of a Cyber Range in support of Government, Education, and Healthcare customers.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES: Tech Talks, Free Food, Prizes, and demonstrations showcasing the newest products and solutions.
