Dominick Delfino joined VMware in 2014 and has responsibility for strategic planning, business operations, go-to-market strategy, and management of VMware’s business in Latin America, the United States, and Canada. Delfino has more than 20 years of experience leading global networking software and hardware sales and system engineering teams. Prior to his appointment to senior vice president and general manager, Americas, Delfino served as senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Systems Engineering for Software Defined Data Center at VMware. In this this role, Delfino was responsible for taking VMware NSX from an incubation product to one of VMware’s growth engines.
Prior to VMware, he spent 14 years at Cisco in a number of leadership positions. At Cisco, Delfino led the data center and virtualization technology strategy and pre-sales systems engineering organization globally. Additionally, he helped bring the Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) policy networking and Unified Computing System (UCS) compute platforms and brought the storage networking and switching products to market for the company. He is a graduate of the State University of New York Morrisville, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering science.
