VMware on VMware Delivers Value
VMware on VMware embodies the commitment of VMware to customers to provide transparency, continued innovation and success. We are passionate about sharing our knowledge of, and experience in, using VMware products.
VMware Is Customer One
VMware on VMware has two main goals. The first is to deploy VMware product releases into various environments throughout the development process, allowing us to provide invaluable feedback to R&D and product development teams by reporting bugs and recommending feature enhancements based on our experience with the product.
Secondly, as first adopters of VMware technology, or Customer One, we share stories and firsthand accounts with customers of our operational experience, including the benefits and challenges of using VMware products globally at scale. Deploying our own products replicates the same issues our customers encounter, and we share our solutions to issues that might arise for customers using VMware products.
We partner with VMware field and sales organizations to share our knowledge and best practices as IT professionals with customers via Zoom webinars, 1:1 customer meetings small group roundtable discussions and corporate events. In addition, we publish our findings in our IT Annual Report , blogs , case studies, You Tube and Twitter channels.

Advocate for Yourself and Thrive
Once I learned the power of speaking up and advocating for myself, the doors of opportunity opened wide—and never closed. VMware reflects and encourages this philosophy, and that’s one of the big reasons I love working here as a colleague support engineer.
Importance of the Meeting Experience
As the leader of the global Audio-Visual team at VMware, I try to infuse my team members with the same passion, energy, and enthusiasm I have for developing meaningful and progressive technology solutions that support our global meeting and event experiences. These efforts ultimately break down barriers created by physical distance, cultural communication, diversity, and personal limitations. And I love connecting people with the technology that enables a more productive experience.
Curious About the Roots of Everything
As a database architect at VMware, I take a straightforward approach to challenges. I’m endlessly curious about the root cause of any problem—from disaster recovery to designing highly available architecture—and how IT can solve it in the simplest, most efficient way. I care about this because enterprises tend to overcomplicate solutions rather than look at the big picture of how customers actually use the technology. This can lead to delivering quick fixes instead of long-term answers and prevention.
Manage Change by Preparing for Change
The key components to managing technology change are delivering quality IT processes at speed, eliminating redundant/time-consuming tasks, reducing overhead and doing it all securely. That’s a big part of my job as Senior Manager, IT Applications. But another significant part is helping DevOps become an organizational/cultural change agent. And that’s what makes what I do so exciting—I get to both create change solutions and shepherd them to make employees/external customers as efficient and productive as possible.
Technology Without Passion is ... Just Work
On paper, I use machine learning and micro-services to ensure internal/external end users are their most productive. But I’ve discovered that what truly drives innovation, better solutions and better products is a passion and curiosity for the work. I actually love coming to work (!) as a Member of Technical Staff, Emerging Technologies, knowing I can think out of the box to make things simpler, easier, and even more fun so people enjoy the technology instead of resenting it.
New VMware on VMware Resources
VMware on VMware
To improve operational experiences for VMware colleagues and customers, VMware on VMware proactively engages in the early stages of product development.
Working as "Customer Zero," VMware IT partners with R&D and engineering services as an early adopter of new apps and solutions to provide valuable feedback used to fix bugs, improve operational experiences and streamline processes. We publish key findings in our IT Performance Annual Report, blogs, SoundCloud, Twitter and YouTube channels, as well as presentations for customer and industry events.
VMware IT also acts as "Customer One," the first to deploy new VMware products and services. As first adopters of VMware technology, our global IT subject matter experts (SMEs) are uniquely positioned to act as a sales reference for prospective customers by sharing our wealth of knowledge and best practices with customers on our operational experience, including the benefits and challenges of using VMware products globally at scale. VMware on VMware shares its knowledge via Zoom webinars, 1:1 customer meetings, and small-group round-table discussions.
IT professionals respect the credibility and experience of their peers, our SMEs, who actually use the products and services that customers plan to buy and implement. This gives customers more confidence to use our products, overcome concerns about getting started, and better understand how to implement them.
