Q. What is the current offer?
A. During this promotion, customers who place an eligible order (defined as initiated by customers and received by VMware during the eligibility period with appropriate products) will receive a Promotion Code redeemable for a 10 Pack of per device licenses for VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 and one (1) year of Basic Support and Subscription (SnS) for the licenses at no additional charge. Orders eligible for the promotion include (1) an eligible SKU of vSphere – Standard and Enterprise Plus, vSphere with Operations Management – Enterprise Plus, vCloud Suite – Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise, vRealize Suite – Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise, NSX, relevant Acceleration Kits and upgrades or (2) Support and Subscription (SnS) renewals of at least $50,000 USD local currency equivalent (not combined with a license purchase) or (3) Hybrid Purchasing Program (HPP) credits. Q. What is the timeframe for this promotion?
A. This promotion is valid for eligible purchases made from August 5, 2017 through October 20, 2017 at 11:59PM Pacific Time (PT). Promotion Codes must be redeemed by June 15, 2018 at 11:59PM Pacific Time (PT).

Horizon FLEX delivers a reliable Windows or Linux experience to contractors, road warriors, developers, field workers and those affected by mergers, while controlling Windows' licensing costs, even when offline. It can extend the life of legacy applications using centrally controlled local virtual desktops on modern hardware and reduce the downtime and shipping costs associated with deploying new laptops.

Q. Is there a detailed SKU list posted for eligible products that must be purchased on the order to take advantage of this promotion?
A. Yes. Please refer to the list of eligible SKUs.

Q. What if I buy through a channel partner, will my order(s) be eligible?
A. This promotion is available to all end-user customers who place an eligible order (defined as initiated by customers and received by VMware during the eligibility period with appropriate products) containing (1) an eligible SKU or (2) Support and Subscription (SnS) of at least $50,000 USD or local currency equivalent (not combined with a license purchase) or 3) Hybrid Purchasing Program (HPP) credits from a VMware authorized reselling partner, via the VMware website, or directly with VMware, including true-up orders.

This promotion is not available on any orders received either by Dell Technologies or where Dell Technologies is the Reseller. Dell Technologies is inclusive of all wholly owned subsidiaries and strategically aligned businesses such as Dell, Dell DFS Corporation, Denali Holding Inc., SecureWorks Corp., EMC, Pivotal, and Virtustream. This promotion is also not available to OEM partners ordering directly from VMware, except orders via Enterprise License Agreements or purchase orders where the customer’s name, address, email address and ship-to information is provided to VMware.

Redemption

Q. When will I be able to redeem my promotion offer?
A. You will receive your promotion code within six months of VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 general availability or within six months after the eligible order is placed, whichever is later. Promotion offer must be redeemed by June 15, 2018 at 11:59PM Pacific Time (PT).

Q. Who would receive the Promotional code email?
A. Promotional Code emails will be sent to the My VMware Super User for the “Sold To” customer on the qualifying order.

Q. What happens if I lose or do not redeem the promotion offer before it expires on June 15, 2018?
A. The redemption period of this promotion is only valid until June 15, 2018 at 11:59PM Pacific Time (PT). We will not be able to re-issue you the free offer.

Q. Can I get temporary keys for this promotion offer today?
A. No. VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 license will only be fulfilled within six months of the general availability of VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 or within 6 months after the eligible order is placed, whichever is later.

 

Support

Q. What Support and Subscription (SnS) offering is included for the VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 promotion?
A. One year of Basic Support and Subscription (SnS) for the promotional license is included in this promotion at no additional charge.

Q. Can I pay an additional fee and request Production Support and Subscription (SnS) with this promotional license?
A. No. An upgrade to Production SnS is not available with this promotional license.

Q. When will the Support and Subscription (SnS) contract begin? What happens after the first year?
A. Your SnS contract for VMware Horizon Flex 1.12 will begin the day you redeem the promotion code and will end one year from that date. Approximately 90 days before the expiration of this SnS contract, you will receive a quote to renew at the then-current list prices. At the time of renewal, you may upgrade your SnS agreement from VMware Basic Support to VMware Production Support.

Q. How do I receive support once I redeem the promotion code and install the license keys?
