Andrew Munk serves as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of VMware leading the company’s accounting functions. He is responsible for the controllership, technical accounting, SEC reporting, revenue accounting and finance policy teams. Andrew also leads the accounting execution teams including finance M&A, finance shared services, finance global processes and finance systems & solutions.
Andrew has over 30 years in finance and accounting experience at multiple global enterprises. He joined VMware in 2013 as Vice President & Controller – finance global processes, became the corporate controller in 2016 and named VMware’s Chief Accounting Officer in 2019. Before joining VMware, Munk spent 14 years in controller and accounting positions of increasing responsibility at Applied Materials, Inc., last serving as Vice President, global accounting controller. Andrew began his career in public accounting and attained the level of audit manager at Deloitte & Touche.
Munk holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Accounting from California State University Fresno (Magna Cum Laude) and is a certified public accountant (inactive) in California.
