If you have taken one of the qualifying vSphere V8 courses and passed the older 2V0-21.20 (V7) exam prior to January 1, 2024, you will be required to pass the latest VMware vSphere 8.x Professional (2V0-21.23) exam to earn the VCP-DCV 2024 certification.

If you have completed the 2V0-21.23 (V8) exam, then you are required to complete a qualifying course to achieve the VCP-DCV 2024 certification. The course must be completed through official VMware Instructor-Led Training (including virtual) or through VMware Digital Learning On Demand (including labs) available through Enterprise Learning Subscription (ELS). Completing courses through the Digital Learning Entitlement (content only, without labs) doesn't qualify.

Yes, if you have taken a vSphere V7 course, you may take the VMware vSphere: What's New [V8] or VMware vSphere: What's New [V8] - Digital (full content, with labs) course to fulfill the training requirement towards the VCP-DCV 2024 certification.
