VMware Named on People’s 50 Companies that Care 2017 List
The voices and contributions of our unique culture have once again recognized VMware in our broader community. We’re excited to announce VMware has been named one of the “50 Companies that Care,” by consultancy Great Place to Work and People Magazine.
This inaugural list is based on nearly 370,000 employees’ responses to survey questions asking them to rate how their companies treat them on a day-today basis. The list also takes into account employees’ personal stories about the difference their workplaces have made in their lives and in their communities – and the generosity of their organizations’ benefits, financial donations, and volunteerism.
VMware has a deeply rooted, people-driven culture that centers around our EPIC2 values (Execution, Passion, Integrity, Customers, Community), the importance of community and giving back. Our culture truly is a reflection of how people at VMware bring values to action and we think this resonance with our EPIC2 values is a key reason behind VMware’s placement on the list.
This is one in a number of recognitions VMware has received the past year from Great Place to Work. Over the past year, VMware received a prestigious and public acknowledgement of our workplace as one of Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, ranked no. 4 on Fortune’s 2016 Best Workplaces for Parents, no. 14 on the Best Workplaces for Giving Back, and no. 11 on the Best Workplaces in Technology by Great Place to Work and Fortune in the large businesses category. In addition, VMware’s IT organization was also selected to the Computerworld 100 Best Places to Work in IT 2016.
