Introduction - Virtual Volumes (VVols) - Horizon
Virtual Volumes (VVols) is a storage feature in vSphere 6.0 that virtualizes SAN and NAS devices into logical pools of capacity making it possible to execute storage operations with VM granularity. It also enables many storage operations such as copy and clone operations to be efficiently offloaded to the storage platform.
This VMware Compatibility Guide page lists all the storage systems that are certified with the interoperability of Virtual Volumes, vSphere, the VASA Provider and Horizon (with View) desktop administration operations such as provisioning, refresh, recompose, and rebalance for the listed number of Horizon desktops.
