New offerings to meet new needs

The ‘Leading Change’ event marked the next evolution in how we do business. VMware leaders revealed how our vision and product set is expanding to meet emerging expectations and trends with the announcement of two new offerings:
 

VMware Cloud. If you thought you knew VMware Cloud before, take another look. We’ve expanded this offering to represent the combination of our unique multi-cloud infrastructure and our Tanzu platform to create a complete app and cloud solution.
 

At its core is VMware Cloud Foundation, the most widely deployed cloud platform on the market. It provides consistent infrastructure across AWS, Azure, Google, and every major public cloud—with extension into native clouds for developers, along with advanced capabilities for security, networking, and management.
 

Ultimately, it forms the single, powerful platform for all apps—traditional and modern alike—with the ability to deploy to every cloud.
 

And there’s more. We’re not only evolving our technology infrastructure to meet changing needs; we’re also evolving our business model. We announced VMware Cloud Universal—our new multi-cloud subscription offering designed to meet the widespread move toward app modernization, public cloud, and SaaS and subscription offerings.
 

VMware Cloud Universal gives customers the option to deploy apps on-premises, in the data center, or at the edge throughout their subscription term—across a customer-managed private cloud, VMware-managed local cloud, or VMware-managed public cloud. By decoupling the purchase decision from the deployment plan, VMware Cloud Universal provides customers with a tremendous amount of flexibility, while offering additional opportunities for partners to deepen their engagement across the customer lifecycle with value-add services. As the offering matures, we will continue to refine the transaction model as well as expand the technologies and redemption destinations included in the program.
