Paul Fazzone joined VMware in August of 2012 through the acquisition of Nicira and played an instrumental role as a product leader for major expansions of the company’s product portfolio including Network Virtualization and Modern Application Development. Fazzone was responsible for defining and building the company’s Kubernetes and Tanzu application modernization portfolio. Fazzone then transitioned into a Strategy and Planning role to help drive VMware’s overall business model transformation to a Subscription and SaaS business measured on ARR and consumption. Fazzone is responsible for strategic planning across VMware and leads the Broadcom Discovery and Integration efforts (deal expected to close in 2023).  

Prior to VMware, Fazzone held senior management roles at Nicira (acquired by VMware in 2012), Cisco and Chase Manhattan Bank. Fazzone has a BA in Computer Science from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
