Scripting Object Description

The AgentManager is the interface for installing and uninstalling various agents on a host, eg. vpxa and aam. Installation is typically done when the host is added to VirtualCenter. Note: This functionality is only supported by a host, not VirtualCenter.

prepareToUpgrade

Return the temporary directory on the host to which the installer/uninstaller executable must be uploaded. This method also deletes all the contents (if any) of the temporary directory. @since VI API 2.5

upgrade

Validates and executes the installer/uninstaller executable uploaded to the directory returned by prepareToUpgrade. On Linux/ESX, the executable file is assumed to be a shell script. The executable is validated against the signature file which should contain a signed md5 checksum of the upgrade file and must be uploaded to the same directory. @since VI API 2.5
