What's New in VMmark 2.1.1?

The notable changes in VMware® VMmark® 2.1.1 include the following:

  • An update to the vSphere-get-Config.sh script for vSphere 5.0.
  • A fix for Deploy and Storage vMotion user configuration checking.
  • A fix for the collection of non-standard VMmark2.config files.
  • A fix for LoadGen completion checking.
  • A fix for long tiledelay infrastructure operations start.
  • Changes to automatic storage refresh for Storage vMotion.
  • An updated VMmark2Companion.jar app (now includes pings).
  • The addition of the VMmark2-vSphere5-SetupSSH.txt instruction file.

All currently published VMmark 2.0 and 2.1 results are comparable to VMmark 2.1.1 results. Beginning with the release of VMmark 2.1.1, any submission of benchmark results must use the VMmark 2.1.1 patch.

Upgrading From VMmark 2.1

VMmark 2.1.1 is a patch that must be applied to an existing, correctly configured VMmark 2.1 setup. It is not a stand-alone update. See the ReadMe.txt file included in the VMmark 2.1.1 patch download package for further installation details.
