This paper shows the performance for new features in the vSphere 6.5. Distributed Resource Scheduler. DRS is now more efficient and faster, and when used with VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), DRS can predict changes in workloads and respond appropriately. The paper also provides an overview of how DRS works, explains some of the factors that influence DRS behavior and how they can be monitored, covers some common performance scenarios that customers experience, and shows what can be learned about DRS from these scenarios.
