Tools for management and orchestration of virtualized environments will enable you to track and optimize performance, implement flexible integration and automation solutions, reduce overhead in system-wide updates and minimize day-to-day administrative and routine maintenance activities.
Through an open and flexible plug-in architecture, VMware partners can offer essential solutions and services to their customers. Available programs include:
The VMware vRealize Automation Certification Program enables our partners to certify partner-created blueprints for use with vRealize Automation. VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) provides a secure portal where authorized administrators, developers or business users can request new IT services and manage specific cloud and IT resources, while ensuring compliance with business policies. Requests for IT service, including infrastructure, applications, desktops and many others, are processed through a common service catalog to provide a consistent user experience despite underlying heterogeneous infrastructure. This program certifies blueprints for use in vRA.
Blueprints are an important entity with vRA. They define how to provision and manage the lifecycle of resources in vRA and can be considered the specification of the resources that should be deployed. As a specification, they describe a virtual machine that can be deployed on infrastructure consisting of different hypervisors. Blueprints provide vRA users the ability to actualize virtual machines and applications. Each unique blueprint embodies unique topology, with dependencies and content that has to be validated for such aspects. The program provides blueprint certification that validates the steps and guidelines that can be used to assure customers that blueprints can function before they are deployed.
To be eligible to use the VMware Ready logo in association with vRealize Automation blueprint certification, partners must meet the following criteria:
To get started and express interest in enrolling in the VMware Ready Program, complete the online Partner Onboarding Form. Select “vRealize Automation Blueprint Certification” in the Program Name field.
Visit VMware {code} for additional program resources, including SDKs, APIs and other certification tools.
The vRealize Orchestrator Plug-In Program offers a comprehensive set of tools and resources to help partners develop and certify product plug-ins. VMware vRealize Orchestrator plug-ins extend the vRealize Orchestrator workflow engine with new object types and methods that automate repeatable tasks across VMware and partner technologies. This provides customers with rich integration and automation technologies that lower initial acquisition and ongoing operating costs of joint solutions.
Use of the VMware Ready for Management and Orchestration logo in association with vRealize Orchestrator plug-ins assures customers that the plug-in has met VMware standards defined in the vRealize Orchestrator Plug-in Program Guide. vRealize Operations management packs enables an ecosystem of both partners and customers, whereby partners can post extensions to the core product for deep integration with their technologies. Customers can download these management packs within vRealize Operations to reduce the number of operation tools within their data center; however, an even more compelling reason is for forming relationships across multiple technologies to pinpointing heath, risk and capacity issues. Customers benefit by having faster root cause problem determination, which greatly improves the operations efficiencies across the entire data center.
